Simple Ways To Look After Your Candle In 4 Easy Steps

Updated: Feb 23

All our t.&toff candles are lovingly hand-poured in Royal Berkshire using our signature blend of rapeseed and refined mineral wax.

For a clean and safe burn, here are some tips to get the best out of your candle.

  1. First Burn

The first burn is the most important. Ensure that you burn your candle for 1-2 hours or until the wax has pooled the entire width of the glass vessel. Extinguish the flame with your snuffer.

  1. Next Burn

After the first burn make sure you trim your wooden wick with your wick trimmers and keep the wax pool clear of debris. Trimming the wick can help improve candle longevity and reduce soot. We do not recommend burning your candle for no more than 4 hours at a time

  1. Last Burn

When there is only 10mm of wax left sadly it is time to extinguish the flame and say goodbye to your t.&toff candle. Too little wax can cause the glass to shatter.

  1. Safe Burn

Always burn your t.&toff in a safe environment, away from draughts, fans and other flammable sources. Burn it on a heat resistant surface and never leave it unattended. Keep it out of reach from children and pets
